Rivers In The Desert
“Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38
Life has seasons. And there are seasons that are dry and desolate like a desert. Like getting weighed down by disappointments, delays, and deep thirst.
The good news, however, is that God speaks life over dry places. His Spirit brings transformation not by small drops but by rivers, steady, abundant, undeniable.
This is the message: He is turning the wilderness into a garden, and the barren land into streams. Where once there was despair, beauty begins to rise. Like flowers growing out of ashes, His restoration work becomes a testimony that no one can deny: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Holy Spirit within you is not dormant. His presence is power, and from your innermost being, your “belly”, will flow the refreshing waters of hope, joy, peace, and renewal. What seemed lifeless will become fruitful. What felt abandoned will host His glory.
Be encouraged: You may be standing in a desert today, but God has already spoken rivers into your future. Trust the new thing He is doing. It is beginning now.
Lord, let Your living water flow through me. Breathe life into every dry and broken place in and around me. Make it obvious that it is You, and You alone, who brings beauty from ashes. Amen.
