Stronger Together
“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively… A rope made of three cords is hard to break.” Ecclesiastes 4:9,12
We live in a world that often glorifies independence, the idea of doing it all alone, needing no one. But God designed life to be walked in partnership. From the beginning, He said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” We were created for community, for friendship, for love, for unity.
Ecclesiastes 4 reminds us that two are better than one, not just emotionally, but practically and spiritually. When one falls, the other lifts. When one is weak, the other fights. And when both walk together with God as the third strand, their bond becomes unbreakable.
This applies in marriage, in friendships, in ministry, in family, wherever hearts are joined in purpose under God, there is power.
Don’t isolate yourself. Don’t try to be a “solo survivor.” Let someone in. Walk closely with those God has placed in your life.
And most importantly, invite God into every relationship, because a threefold cord with Him at the center is not easily broken.
Lord, thank You for the gift of relationships. Help me to value the people You’ve placed in my life. Teach me to walk in love. Be the third strand in every bond I have. Amen
