Thank You Lord
“Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:13
Many times when we see thanksgiving in the bible, we also see praise or worship. That is because thanksgiving is an act of worship.
Thanking God for who He is and all that He has done for us is putting our attention and focus on Him. It is also declaring His character and His attributes.
At the core, worship is what we give our attention to, so when we are thankful to Him, our attention is on Him and who He is, and all that He has done.
Thanksgiving is acknowledging that He is God and we are not. We would not have what we have or be what we are without Him.
1 Chronicles 29:13 says that we give thanks and praise!
So we thank God for who He is and for how good He is, and then we celebrate (praise) all that He is.
When we are thankful, praise will naturally flow out of us.
Thanksgiving prepares our hearts to brag, boast, and celebrate God for how amazing He is.
Maybe you too should create a list of what you need to be thankful for. It is a great time to be thankful.
Let your thanksgiving lead you to celebrate (praise) Him for all that He has done.
Say with me, “Thank You Lord.”
