Thankful For Everything
“And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Can you really be thankful for everything? How?
It seems impossible really, but if we stand on the Word that God actually works out all things for our good, including the painful and unfair things, then we would be able to thank God through it all.
Most often, we want God to step in quick, we want him to show us His love exactly as we imagine it. We want God to move mountains in our favour because we know He can. We know he can break bondages and put aright difficult situations.
But when the mountain doesn’t move, we question God.
But we need to understand that it doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love us. We may not understand but we can still trust. We may not get the answer we want, but we know that ultimately, the Lord knows best and he will do what’s best for us.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3: 15-17
