The Eleventh-Hour
“But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong… So the last will be first, and the first last.’” Matthew 20:13,16.
The number 11 can symbolize the eleventh hour, that moment when time seems to have run out, when hope feels thin, and answers look delayed. Yet throughout Scripture, we see a different story: with God, the eleventh hour is never too late, it’s often right on time.
In Matthew 20, workers hired at the eleventh hour received the same reward as those who worked all day, because God doesn’t pay by human measure, He moves by covenant grace. He is not bound by time; He is bound by His word.
The covenant overrides delay.
Abraham waited for Isaac. Joseph was forgotten in prison. Israel suffered for generations in Egypt. Yet at the set time, the covenant prevailed. Delay did not cancel destiny. At the appointed hour, God moved, and miracles broke through.
Hebrews 11 is not random, it’s a prophetic reminder that God will honor the faith of those who believe even when it looks impossible. Those who wait, trust, obey, and endure because they know God keeps His covenant.
In this 11th month, believe again.
– You may be behind, God will bring you forward.
– You may be late, God will accelerate you.
– You may be forgotten, God will remembers His covenant
His covenant is sealed in the blood of Jesus, backed by His integrity, and driven by His unshakable love. The God of the eleventh hour still honors faith, still keeps covenant, and still comes through, right on time.
Lord, thank You that even in the eleventh hour, You move with power and mercy. Let this month be marked by divine speed, fulfillment, and sudden breakthroughs. I stand in faith like those in Hebrews 11, knowing that You never forget what You promised. Amen.
