There Is No One Like You To Help
“Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, ‘Lord, there is no one like You to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, Lord our God, for we rely on You…’” 2 Chronicles 14:11.
King Asa found himself facing an impossible battle, an army far greater than his own!
Outnumbered and seemingly outmatched, he didn’t look to his own strength or resources or to the other nations for alignment or collaboration. He turned to God and declared something powerful and very profound: “There is no one like You to help.”
This cry wasn’t just desperation; it was faith. Asa recognized that God’s help is unmatched. Human resources fail. People may forget. Strength may fade. But God’s power is limitless, and His help reaches beyond what anyone else can offer.
When you feel weak, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, remember this: You are not without help. And the help you have is not ordinary, it is divine.
God specializes in helping the powerless, lifting the lowly, and defending those who rely on Him.
Don’t measure your chances by your ability, resources or by your network. Measure them by your Helper.
When you call on Him, you are calling on the One who parts seas, shuts lions’ mouths, multiplies loaves, and raises the dead. Truly, there is no one like our God to help.
Lord, I acknowledge my need for You. I don’t rely on my strength, but on Yours. Help me in ways only You can. There is no one like You to help. I trust You. Amen.
