Trust In God Alone
“Pharaoh’s chief cup-bearer, however, forgot all about Joseph, never giving him another thought.” Genesis 40:23
‘Thus says the Lord: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the lord.”‘ Jeremiah 17:5
While in prison, Joseph met and served the King’s Chief cup-bearer. He interpreted his dream and even pleaded with him to remember him and help him, yet the man forgot Joseph. He moved on and left Joseph languishing in Jail. Imagine how Joseph must have felt if he had placed his entire trust in this man.
Many times we see people we know in places of authority and expect them to do things for us. Other times we blame relatives and well-placed family members and friends for not helping us. This ought not to be.
God can bless us through the hands of men, but the trust should always be toward God and NOT those men!
Let us be careful not to place our trust in men.
The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Philippians 4:6
Trust God and watch Him remember you in His time! He will certainly come through for you in His own way!
