What’s In Your Hand?
“Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied.” Exodus 4:2
God asked Moses a simple question [even though He already knew the answer] “What is that in your hand?” To which Moses answered, “Itʼs my Shepherdʼs rod”. And God said something like, “Good, I can work with that to perform miracles”. We know that God empowered Moses to do some pretty cool miracles.
I can imagine that initially, Moses’ would have thought that he had nothing out of the ordinary, for every Shepherd had a staff, so it must have felt so ordinary and common. To the human mind, it’s nothing special or spectacular!
But after God spoke to him, his rod changed.
Usually in the world, when you are called, you will be given a symbol of office, a crown, a ring, or something new that you never had before, but not so with God, he empowers what you already have!
This is because He created you whole from the beginning. He scripted your life from start to finish before sending you to earth.
It doesn’t matter the circumstances of your birth, you are whole. No matter your family background, childhood experience, country, education, skills or your weaknesses, or disabilities, you are created whole.
God used the same rod that Moses had carried around for probably 40yrs.
In the place of encounter with God is where you truly discover your identity and true worth.
YOU need to see YOU as GOD sees you.
What you have is worth little until you see it from God’s eyes.
God has fully supplied all that you need for life and godliness. Stay with God. Ask for the light of revelation. You are the miracle you have been looking for. You have all you need to succeed!
