What Promise Are You Running With?
“Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” Genesis 15:4
Like Abraham, we all need a word of promise from God and the Bible is full of several promises which we can claim for ourselves.
It is our responsibility to search out the specific word of promise for us and prayerfully appropriate them through fervent prayers.
Ensure you are standing on God’s promises in His word as you pray. Not just on your sentiments or desires or even your need.
Someone in the past may have made empty promises to you and have thereafter caused you never to pay attention or act on their empty word. But God is not like that. His promises are always Yes and Amen in Christ.
You need to have full confidence that God can, and will do what He has said He will do.
Your faith reflects your attitude towards God’s character.
The question is – what promise are you running with?
