When You’ve Done All, Praise Him
“Having done all… stand.” Ephesians 6:13.
There comes a moment in every believer’s journey when you’ve asked, sought, and knocked. You’ve prayed, fasted, obeyed, waited, and trusted. And still, the answer hasn’t come, the mountain hasn’t moved, the silence hasn’t broken.
What do you do when you’ve done all you know to do?
You praise.
Praise is not a last resort, it is the highest expression of faith. It declares, “God, I trust You not just for what You’ve done, but for who You are.”
Praise shifts your focus from the problem to the Person, from what’s missing to the Miracle Worker.
1. Remember Past Victories.
Like David facing Goliath, remind yourself: “The Lord who delivered me from the lion and the bear will deliver me now” 1 Samuel 17:37. Your history with God is full of faithfulness, recall it.
2. Acknowledge Present Mercies.
Every breath, every moment, every morning mercy is evidence that He’s still with you. Lamentations 3:22-23. You’re not abandoned; you’re being upheld.
3. Overflow in Praise.
Let your waiting room become a worship room. Paul and Silas praised in prison, and God shook the earth. Jehoshaphat appointed singers, and God scattered enemies. Praise opens doors no key can.
So, when you’ve done all you can, stand in worship.
When the answer delays, lift a song of trust.
When your heart is weary, choose gratitude.
Praise doesn’t always change your situation immediately, but it always changes your posture, and that prepares you for God’s move.
Lord, I’ve done all I know to do. Now I choose to praise You, not because everything is perfect, but because You are. Remind me of what You’ve done. Open my eyes to what You’re doing. Fill my mouth with praise, even in the waiting. Amen.
Even when I see nothing, I will praise. My God is working, and He is always faithful.
