Work In Progress
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
In Philippians 1:6, Paul encourages the believers with a powerful truth: the work that God started in our lives is not finished.
God is not done with us. He is continuously shaping, molding, and refining us to become more like His Son, Jesus Christ. This work is a process, and it doesn’t happen overnight.
When we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit begins a transformative work in us, making us more holy, more loving, and more like Christ. But this transformation is ongoing, it continues until the day of Christ’s return.
There may be times when we feel like we haven’t made progress or that we’re stuck in a particular area of our faith. But we can rest in the promise that God is still at work, and He is faithful to complete what He started.
This is also a reminder that our salvation is secure. God doesn’t abandon the work He begins. Even when we face struggles, doubts, or setbacks, we can trust that He is with us, working through all circumstances to bring us to completion in Him.
We don’t have to strive in our own strength; we can rely on God’s power and grace to continue the work in us.
